Aphena Welcomes Nick Seibert as Director of Business Development
February 2026
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Aphena Pharma Solutions is pleased to announce that Nick Seibert has joined the company as Director of Business Development. With more than 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging and contract manufacturing, Nick brings a proven track record in consultative sales and customer partnerships across the pharma supply chain.
Nick has spent the majority of his career in business development, supporting clients with manufacturing services, clinical supply packaging and commercial packaging solutions. His expertise spans the entire product lifecycle, from R&D and clinical supply chains through commercialization, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges at each stage.
“Understanding customers’ regulatory and supply chain pain points has been invaluable in building lasting partnerships,” Nick said. “My approach has always been to remain curious, honest, and focused on solving problems in ways that deliver long-term value.”
At Aphena, Nick's primary focus is on expanding the company’s customer base in oral solid dose manufacturing and packaging as well as liquids, creams, gels and topicals. He also sees significant opportunity in serving small to mid-size biotech companies that outsource both manufacturing and packaging.
“Aphena is uniquely positioned in the outsourcing space,” Nick said. “Our ability to support commercial packaging at our Cookeville, Tennessee, site along with commercial manufacturing in Easton, Maryland, puts us in a category that few can match. Not many providers can offer both services at scale under one umbrella, and that’s a huge advantage for our customers.”
Nick also emphasized Aphena’s willingness to partner with clients to develop new solutions when needed. “If we don’t have the necessary tools today to solve a customer’s problem, our leadership team is willing to invest in building those capabilities together. That’s part of what excites me most about joining Aphena.”
Looking ahead, Nick sees major growth opportunities in biotech, biosimilars, and biologics packaging as well as increasing demand for oral solid dose formats. He pointed to the ongoing shift in the GLP-1 market as one example.
“Capacity for oral solid dose will be critical as the industry expands. Aphena is already ramping up by adding fully automated bottling and blister lines to support this demand, ensuring we’re ready when our customers need us.”
Nick also highlighted two major trends shaping customer needs:
-
Real-time data access for compliance and efficiency
-
Sustainability and ESG initiatives becoming core requirements in packaging and supply chain partnerships
“These are not add-ons anymore. They are expectations,” he said. “Aphena’s agility, transparency and investment mindset position us well to meet those evolving needs.”
When asked why he chose to join Aphena, Nick cited the company’s leadership, culture and vision for growth.
“Aphena is a company on the rise,” he said. “The leadership team has clear goals and is committed to investing in both the business and the people. The culture is top-notch, and you can tell by the tenure of employees that this is a place people want to stay.”
Nick is eager to begin building new relationships and expanding Aphena’s reach in the pharmaceutical packaging and contract manufacturing markets.
“This industry is complex, highly regulated and full of moving parts. Success requires not only technical expertise but also a team that can work seamlessly together. Aphena is a strong position to achieve that success while growing our capabilities.”
