COOKEVILLE, Tennessee — On Friday, May 6, the Talbot County (Maryland) Department of Economic Development and Tourism and the Talbot County Economic Development Commission presented Aphena Pharma Solutions with the 2022 Talbot County Community Impact Award for the company’s positive impact on the local economy.

The award was presented during the May 6 Talbot County Business Appreciation Summit, which hosted a large reception in the Tidewater Ballroom to honor Aphena and celebrate the award. During the reception, Aphena was also given a certificate of special recognition by U.S. Senator Benjamin L. Cardin, an official citation by the Maryland General Assembly, and a resolution by the Senate of Maryland recognizing Aphena’s leadership, dedication and positive impact on not only the Talbot County community, but on the entire State of Maryland.

“We feel extremely honored to be chosen to receive this award,” said Eric Allen, EVP of Sales and Marketing at Aphena. “Talbot County has provided a great, pro-business environment and a top-notch workforce that has made our continued investment in our Easton facility an easy decision.”

In 2019, Aphena completed a major renovation and expansion of its Easton facility, which included purchasing two buildings from Konsyl to create a 27-acre campus on Industrial Park Road. The company has also added more than 150 hourly and salaried employees since January 2020, with continued hiring underway.
