COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Aphena Pharma Solutions recently announced three additions to its validation and tech services teams.
Elie Talej has joined the Liquids Division in Easton, Md., as director of engineering. Talej holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Ohio University of Athens, Ohio, and came to Aphena from Johnson and Johnson in Lancaster, Pa. He brings over 17 years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily working in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Abul Siddiqui has joined the Aphena staff as a senior analytical chemist. Siddiqui has 30 years of diverse analytical chemistry experience in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and environmental industries, most recently as a senior scientist in chemistry at EAG/Eurofins in Easton. He has a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Temple University.
Cristina McDonald also joined Aphena as a senior analytical chemist and has over 30 years of experience, most recently as an analytical chemist at WES Pharma Inc. in Westminster, Md. There, she oversaw all aspects of analytical laboratory operations for generic, solid dose products as well as liquid pharmaceutical formulations. A graduate from the University of the Philippines at Los Baños with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, McDonald has worked as an analyst in the pharmaceutical industry in the Philippines, Australia and the U.S.
